The old cliché is that the more things change the more they stay the same. I just don’t see it, the more things change the more they are different! What was once comfortable, is now uncomfortable, what was once there, is long gone, what is new and exciting is constantly changing, green beans … we hated them … now they are kinda good. It is hard not to look back, and want to re-embrace what we remember as right, good and satisfying. What we remember isn’t always the way it really was though, my grandfather used to say that we remember thing that never happened. No … it is not a lie but our human tendency to forget the bad and cherish the good. perhaps this is a way to protect ourselves. A lot of the past isn’t as good as we remember - do you really want to seen in public today, in those clothes or hair you had back then? Make the now and everyday a time to remember; by living in the past, we miss today. The Wellington Monument, off Piccadilly in London.
